Position is for a Peer Specialist -GS-6-7-8-9- Career Ladder. It is located in the Mental Health Service, at the Charles George VA Medical Center, Asheville, North Carolina, in VISN 6 The Peer Specialist is responsible for a variety of therapeutic and supportive tasks, that include assisting Veterans in articulating their goals for recovery, learning and practicing new skills, helping them monitor their progress, assisting them in their treatment, modeling effective coping techniques. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 02/14/2023. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date
