Gifford has an opportunity for a physician or qualified mid-level practitioner to lead our well-established, successful Addiction Medicine Team.
Gifford Addiction Medicine was established in 2017 and the team leader provides medication management for opioid and alcohol use disorders with the support of counseling, case management/nursing, and the dissemination of harm reduction tools and strategies. The team has been a local leader in implementing novel addiction treatment strategies in collaboration with an array of Central Vermont community partners. Candidates for the position would be expected to embrace that mission.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a spectacular setting at a rural, non-profit hospital with a progressive philosophy, supportive administrative team and advanced technology. As a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) and a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Gifford is well known for its innovative approach to providing primary, specialty, and surgical care to the many communities it serves. This is a great opportunity to join a strong team that collaborates on projects and ideas supporting one another, making Gifford an enjoyable place to work.
