Buffalo General Medical Center is located in downtown Buffalo, New York, and is recruiting for a general physiatrist to join a hospital-based practice which runs the inpatient and in-house 34 bed newly remodeled MRU. This physiatrist would share in managing the inpatient service as well as providing consults for the 484 bed acute tertiary care hospital and have the opportunity to develop an additional outpatient practice according to their interests.
The Buffalo General Medical Center MRU specializes in neurologic rehab for the renowned Gates Vascular Institute acute stroke center but also in amputee, cardiopulmonary, orthopedic and general rehabilitation. There is a high volume of neurology and neurosurgical patients with collaboration from these services. The physiatrist would have the support of working in a close group of 3 other physiatrists, as well as have in-house specialty and general medical services available to assist with patient care whenever needed. Requirements: Board certified/board eligible in physical medicine and rehabilitation. NYS Medical license and DEA required
