The Ft. Harrison Veterans Health Care System, Mental Health Service Line is currently recruiting for one (1) Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor TREC/ICMHR program, located in the Ft. Harrison Montana This position is a multi-discipline announcement and can be recruited for either a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor, Psychologist or Social Worker. You must meet all the requirement for this position by the closing date of this announcement and provide all the documents required to be considered for this position. Basic Requirements: Citizenship: US Citizenship. Education: Hold a master's or doctoral degree in: Clinical Mental Health Counseling; Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling; Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling; or a related field, from a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). Examples of related mental health counseling fields include but are not limited to Addiction Counseling; Community Counseling; Gerontology Counseling; Marital, Couple, and Family Counseling. CACREP defines the date when graduates are considered to have graduated from a CACREP accredited program. Additional information may be obtained from http://www.cacrep.org/directory/. NOTE: Traditional Rehabilitation counseling programs that are accredited by CACREP do not meet the LPMHC qualification standards as Traditional Rehabilitation counseling differs from Clinical Rehabilitation counseling. Licensure: Persons hired or reassigned to LPMHC positions in the GS-101 series in VHA must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to independently practice mental health counseling, which includes diagnosis and treatment English Language Proficiency: LPMHCs must be proficient in spoken and written English GS-12 Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor Supervisor: Experience, Education, and Licensure. In addition to the basic requirements, candidates must have at least 1 year of progressively complex experience equivalent to the next lower grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills and judgment, demonstrating progressively more professional competency. Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. In addition to meeting the KSAs for GS-11 level, the candidate must demonstrate the KSAs below: 1. Ability to administratively supervise other providers and conduct meetings. 2. Ability to maintain a professional environment by following organizational policies, guidelines and safety standards. 3. Ability to establish and clearly communicate guidelines and performance expectations for staff. Full performance level of this is a GS-12 Physical Requirements: The work requires some physical exertion such as prolonged periods of standing, bending, reaching, crouching, stooping, stretching and lifting moderately heavy items such as manuals and records boxes. ["The program supervisor position for the Triage and Rapid Evaluation Clinic (TREC) and Intensive\nCommunity Mental Health Recovery (ICMHR) program. As program supervisor for TREC and ICMHR at MTVAHCS, the incumbent is expected to ensure these\nprograms operate in compliance with all relevant local and national VA directives, memos,\nhandbooks, and SOPs, as well as relevant TJC, CARF, and OIG standards and expectations.\nAdministrative responsibilities (50%) include but are not limited to: monitoring and updating\noperations to ensure compliance with standards, completing all mandatory evaluations and reports,\ncompleting strategic planning and program improvements; ensuring compliance with EEO policies and\nprogram activities; promoting DEI; directly administratively supervising clinical staff of various\ndisciplines within TREC and ICMHR and completing associated activities (e.g., completion of\nperformance, Functional Categories, etc.); maintaining good working relationships with Fort Harrison\nMedical Center ED, Med/Surge Unit, ICU, and other relevant programs; and reporting timely any\nsignificant events through chain of command. Clinical responsibilities (50%) include but are not\nlimited to: responding to and timely completion of TREC consults; completion of required suicide\nprevention activities; exercising the full extent of the provider's core\ncapabilities; working with courts for civil commitments and other related civil competencies when\nindicated, supervising the clinical work for practicum students or other staff.
