The LPMHC for whom this functional statement applies is under the Substance Abuse Program within the Mental Health & Behavioral Science Service at the WPB VAMC. The incumbent conducts interviews & counseling with Veterans with Substance Use Disorders & other mental health issues and families. The LMHC will also provide psychological assessment & treatment. Counseling interventions include crisis intervention, short & long-term individual therapy, & group therapy. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
