| The Division of Gastroenterology at Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist with advanced endoscopy training to serve as the Director of the Endoscopy Unit. Applicants must be Board Certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology and have additional training in advanced endoscopic techniques including ERCP. Nationwide Children's Hospital is developing a clinical and research program specializing in the care of children with Pancreatico-Biliary Diseases and pediatric ERCP is an essential component of this plan. This recruitment will align with the strength of the adult GI Division at OSU which, under the leadership of Dr. Darwin Conwell, is one of the national leaders in clinical care and research related to pancreatico-biliary disorders.
The GI Division at NCH currently has 27 faculty, 10 fellow trainees, 8 APNs as well as dedicated dietitians, nurses, behavioral health specialists and social workers and provides comprehensive programs covering all aspects of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition.
We seek a highly motivated, innovative thought leader who will work collaboratively with members of our luminal, hepatology, pancreas, and transplant teams as well as the general surgical service and the Center for Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction, to further develop an endoscopy service of national prominence. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day to day functioning of the endoscopy unit and ensuring that Nationwide Children’s Hospital provides the most comprehensive and up to date endoscopic service available. The applicant should have strong clinical skills and a commitment to teaching and research.
