This occupational series is eligible for the Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP). Repayment is limited to $10,000 annually, up to $60,000 in lifetime awards. Participants must sign a service agreement and maintain an acceptable level of performance to remain eligible for this program. ---------------- $5,000 Recruitment Bonus For Highly Qualified Applicant ---------------- The Psychologist is a member of the Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) team assigned to provide mental health care and psychological services in the Primary Care setting at the St. Cloud VA Health Care System. The psychologist will also provide clinical services for a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, substance misuse, chronic pain, and health related comorbidities such as diabetes, tobacco cessation, weight loss, and sleep disorders. Duties of this position are, but not limited to: Provide full range of psychosocial assessment services and diagnoses mental disorders, particularly for complex or unusually difficult patients. Provide education to patients, family members, and significant others. Provides comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Provide consultation to professional staff and community providers, concerning clinical assessment findings and appropriate treatment plans for patients. Develop, implement, and document psychotherapeutic treatment plans for patients on the Primary Care panel who require such treatment. Serve as a consultant to other medical center staff and assist in their understanding of psychological factors and formulation of appropriate treatment expectations regarding their patients. Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Evening and Weekends may be required. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required This is an open continuous announcement.
