Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner. As part of this inspired team you will be responsible for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of adults with Substance Abuse Disorders and their co-morbid medical conditions. This outpatient position will work with a multidisciplinary health care team and provides a wide range of patient services for this specific patient population. By utilizing the nursing process, scientific reasoning and critical problem solving, NPs practice within the scope of the responsibilities and prescriptive authority defined by Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the Medical Staff Executive at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
The successful candidate will have a Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization, two years work experience as a CRNP, currently licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners, and must have demonstrated effective skills in consultation.
Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred. Preferred qualifications include HIV Certification, willingness to obtain Hepatitis C certification, fluency in Spanish, and experience working with Substance Abuse and Addiction disorders. A Family Nurse Practitioner Degree is also preferred.
