| At CHKD, working to improve the lives of our community's children is a twofold endeavor, deeply ingrained in our mission, our history and our daily work." – Jim Dahling, CHKD president and CEO |
The King's Daughters, a women's service organization that has worked to improve the well-being of children in our region for more than a century, established Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in 1961.
CHKD is a 206-bed teaching hospital with special units for neonatal and pediatric intensive care, cancer care, acute inpatient rehabilitation, medical and surgical care, and transitional care. As a freestanding, full-service children's hospital, every inch of our facility and all members of our medical team are devoted exclusively to the needs of young people, and our patients benefit from the full range of pediatric specialists and support services available only at freestanding children's hospitals.
A hospital full of excitement every day. Neonatal Nurse Practitioners not only touch the child’s life, but the family, the community, and all those involved in helping children reach their maximum health. The NNP will work collaboratively with other health team members to provide holistic health care that includes resuscitation, stabilization, health promotion, disease prevention, and diagnosis and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
Daily challenges, unpredictability, and the chance to work with families in making a difference in children’s lives are the foundation on which Neonatal Nurse Practitioners provide guidance and care.
The greatest trust anyone can give you is to trust you to care for their child. Neonatal Nurse Practitioners get that kind of trust every day.
The Children’s Health System offers an exceptional compensation and benefit package. CHKDHS is an Equal Opportunity Employee offering patients, families and staff a totally tobacco-free environment.
