Medical Director – Addiction Psychiatry
Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Department of Psychiatry is seeking an academic Addiction Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director of Addiction Services at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon, NH.
Addiction clinical service, teaching, and research are strategic priorities in the Department and addiction service is a crucial area for growth in the Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system. This faculty member will play a vital leadership role in an active ongoing effort to address substance use difficulties in the population served by Dartmouth-Hitchcock. The role includes providing clinical care, teaching and training of medical students, residents, and addiction psychiatry fellows, and leading the clinical service.
The Department, which provides opportunities for and encourages collaboration, mentorship, research, teaching, and academic advancement, is home to or affiliated with a wide array of federally-funded or foundation-supported programs or research centers, including: the Northeast Node of the NIDA Clinical Trials Network; the Dartmouth SYNERGY Clinical and Translational Science Institute; the Dartmouth Addiction Research Group; the Center for Technology and Behavioral Health; the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice; the National Center for Post-traumatic Stress Disorder; and the Dartmouth Trauma Research Center. Highly ranked in terms of NIH funding, the Department has a full psychiatry residency program, an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship, and numerous post-doctoral, research training opportunities.
Candidates should be Board Eligible or Certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. Academic rank and salary will be consistent with experience. Full or part time positions will be considered.
